We care about our community, and about our kids. That's why we created the Price Reading Challenge, a fun-filled program that encourages reading among first graders in New Castle and Dover School Districts. We give away hundreds of books each year, and we provide incentives and classroom visits from the Price Penguin, and Grand Prizes for classrooms that achieve their reading goals. Bedtime Story hours at Price Toyota in New Castle and Price Honda in Dover delight hundreds of children each month with milk and cookies, costumed storybook characters and special guest readers.

Each year, over two thousand Delaware first graders read more than 120,000 books as part of the Price Reading Challenge, while at the same time discovering a joy in reading and love of learning that will last a lifetime. The Price Reading Challenge is just one of many ways Price Automotive Group gives back to our local community:

Price Toyota and Scion in New Castle participates in New Castle County Tech Schools, offering youth a chance to learn from master technicians in our mechanical shop. We conduct the statewide "Customer Satisfaction" competition and workshop held at Polytech each year. We serve on the Advisory Board of Del Castle Technical High School's Auto Body and Paint Program, and we sponsor or donate funds to other organizations, including the American Lung Association, the Gift of Life Donor Program, New Castle Little League, the Nur Shrine Circus, the Cab Calloway School of the Arts, the Wilmington Manor Fire Department, East Coast Fly In, Ocean City Softball, UAW Local 435, Five Points Fire Company #1, the Sunshine Foundation, Naamans Rotary, the Harrington State Fair, the M.O.T. Young Marines, Make A Wish Foundation, the Stahl Post American Legion, The Wellness Community of Delaware, the National Amateur Baseball World Series games (when played in Wilmington), the University of Delaware Golf Outing, and others.

Price Honda and Acura in Dover is a member of Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce and works with the Delaware Economic Development Committee to help develop the central Delaware economy and create local jobs. We provide cars to local high schools for Driver Education Programs, and have arranged for Honda to donate a new vehicle for three technical schools in our market area for their automotive educational programs. We participate in Adopt-A-Family, Toys for Tots, local St. Patrick Day Parade, and Little League Opening Day festivities. We support Hole-In-One Golf Tournaments for the Boys and Girls Clubs, CDCC and Blue Suitors, and we sponsor or donate funds to Caesar Rodney H.S., Lake Forest H.S., Polytech H.S., Dover H.S., Wesley College, Delaware State University, University of Delaware, Pop Warner Football, Little League Baseball, Del Tech Community College, Sussex Tech High School, and others.

Price Buick, Pontiac and GMC in Salisbury sponsors or donates funds to Junior Achievement Golf Outing, Salisbury State University Golf Outing, various Youth Soccer teams, St. Jude Hospital's annual fundraiser and a local Men's Bible Study, and others.
